PERSONAL MISSION STATEMENT
Exercise
the responsibilities and authority of my ordination in spiritual, liturgical,
pastoral, moral, and administrative leadership and to regularly celebrate the
Sacraments. To proclaim by word and example the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my
personal and professional life. Continue study of Holy Scripture and the
historical tradition of the Church, and contemporary issues in general society
and the Christian community that affect the life of the Church and her members.
OBJECTIVE
Share ministry in a congregation where I can exercise my ordained ministry, making full use of my broad life experience, my particular God-given gifts, and skills and experience. Work in development of multicultural ministries in parish and dioceses. Seeking ministry as Interim, Supply, or Consulting.

Five years as rector of a multicultural Episcopal parish, where I have strengthened the liturgy and music for the three weekly English language services; incorporated more lay worship participation, including youth as Lay Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors; Led the development of multicultural ministries, developing Filipino and Hispanic ministries as integral part of the parish. Increased average Sunday attendance by forty percent. Increased the parish budget and financial stewardship from $195,000 to $300,000. Led the vestry to develop Planned Giving and Investment policies. Developed a multicultural youth ministry including youth from all parish ministries. Licensee and Chaplain for 75 student parish preschool and kindergarten. Diocesan Multicultural ministries coordinator. Attend Episcopal Church Asiamerica and Hispanic Ministry development conferences. Served on Diocesan Asking Committee and Convener of the Southern Mission District.
Six years as rector of a 300 member rural parish, where I increased weekly worship opportunities to a year-round schedule of two Sunday celebrations of the Holy Eucharist, three weekday Morning Prayer, and one weekday Holy Eucharist and one weekday Public Service of Healing and Holy Communion. Introduced sung liturgy and increased use of hymns and service music. Developed customaries for marriage, burial, baptism, and worship. Increased lay participation as lectors, and Lay Eucharistic Ministers; In six years increased the parish budget and stewardship from $95,000 to $155,000 and Average Sunday Attendance by twenty five percent. Dean of Chautauqua Deanery for six years.
Five years as Curate in a 900 member parish, where I developed a strong parish and deanery youth ministry, incorporating weekly parish meetings, quarterly deanery activities, and annual retreat or mission trips. Served on Diocesan Convention committee, Youth Commission, and Liturgy Commission. Introduced children receiving Holy Communion before Confirmation. Developed first Diocesan Web site and first Parish web site and introduced electronic communications as part of parish ministry and outreach.
